Spencer received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in May, 2018 from Rutgers School of Health Professions. He received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Delaware in 2014.
Spencer has varied clinical experiences. Most recently he worked in the acute care setting with a focus on trauma, stroke, and ICU patients. Spencer also has experience in general outpatient orthopedics and sub-acute rehabilitation. During his schooling, he participated in research labs and systematic reviews involving patients with Multiple Sclerosis. His group’s systematic review on electrical stimulation and walking aides was accepted for presentation at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting in 2018. In spring of 2018, Spencer received his LSVT Big certification, a program for rehabilitating movement amplitude in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
Spencer enjoys treating all types of patients and working collaboratively to bring them out of pain and return them to their desired role in life. He places an emphasis on using patients’ daily lives and interests to guide treatment. Spencer wants you to have fun and begin to gain control over your rehabilitation and wellness during your time at All-Care. Outside of his role as a Physical Therapist, he enjoys pickup sports, golf, backpacking and the beach.
