Cara graduated from Stockton University of New Jersey in 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology. She continued her educational career at Stockton University where she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016.
Cara has clinical experience in a variety of settings, including outpatient orthopedics, school-based pediatrics with neurological impairments, and acute rehab. She completed her outpatient orthopedic clinical affiliation with All-Care at the Whiting office where she treated various musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical patients, and some vestibular and balance impairments. She has treated a variety of patient populations including geriatrics, adult neurological conditions (stroke, Guillan-Barre syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, and Multiple Sclerosis), prosthetics and prosthetic training, and musculoskeletal injuries, as well as patients with cardiopulmonary complications and other comorbidities. She has also worked with pediatric neurological and genetic conditions, including Cerebral Palsy, Angelman’s syndrome, seizure disorders, behavioral disorders, visual and hearing impairments, autism, developmental coordination disorder, and recovering cancer patients. She believes in a treatment approach that promotes patient involvement and incorporates evidence based practice, manual therapy, and treating the patient as a whole to achieve patient goals and optimize functional outcomes and quality of life.
