Amputees: Do we take amputees?
- Yes, we’re fully equipped with parallel bars and trained therapists in handling post-amputation care.
Improvement: Will the therapy actually make me better?
- In most cases, physical therapy helps to reduce symptoms. The therapist will evaluate you and determine if your condition can be helped with physical therapy. Some chronic conditions cannot be healed through physical therapy, but symptoms can be reduced. Our goal is to relieve pain and strengthen the body and to help the body heal.
Pain: Will therapy cause me more pain?
- Absolutely not. Pain is a body’s response to injury. There should never be an increase in pain.
Therapy: What will I be doing for therapy?
- A therapist will evaluate you and determine what interventions your condition is best suited for.
Vertigo: Do we handle vertigo patients?
- Yes, our therapists are trained in the Eppley Maneuver for BPPV. We also perform a number of therapeutic activities directed towards improving balance & proprioception.
Water Therapy: Do we have water therapy?
- No, but we can customize a minimal impact or non-weight bearing program as well as employ manual techniques to maximize a patient’s recovery.
