Marian received her Master’s Degree of Science in Occupational Therapy from Howard University, in 2011. She graduated with honors and served as the President of Pi Theta Epsilon, Beta Alpha Chapter, as part of the National Occupational Therapy Honor Society. Marian is continuing her education at Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia, PA, to obtain her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, with an emphasis on clinical education. She is also a certified American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Fieldwork Educator.

Marian’s professional focus has been on orthopedic care, with an emphasis on hand therapy. She has completed affiliations in hand therapy, outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, acute care, pediatrics, and mental health. Marian is currently in the process of becoming a certified hand therapist. She has also continued to grow her knowledge base by attending and completing courses in:
